Our club is dedicated to community work.
Kolstad as a place is named the second worst place in Norway to grow up. Out of 10000 inhabitants we find people from 50 different countries. On the local schools about 40% have a foreign culture. We use football as a tool when we acticely work with social inclusion, respect and tolerance. One of our activities is 'Camp Kolstad', free for children between 10-12 years old after school. We provide food, physical activities and help with schoolwork. We also have several other activities. For young people between 16-18 we focus on international work to develope the understanding and values inside this group of young people. We've had exchanges with Ireland and Scotland and also had a group to visit Africa. The overall title of our activities is 'We care'. Our organization has a high standing inside both the local government, the national footballfederation and the national sportsfederation for our unique comittment to communitywork. We also have a history of presenting our community work 'We care' at different seminars. We've been working with 'We care' in seven years now, but still we can see that we have a long way to walk. That makes us very positive of working together with other european organizations.
