Norwegian Young Disabled is a coalition of youth organisations for disabled in Norway. Norwegian Young Disabled was founded in 1980 and unites 23 member organisations.
Our objective is total citizenship for disabled youth. Norwegian Young Disabled envisions a society where disabled youth have equal opportunities to take part in all aspects of society and are equal in all respects.
Norwegian Young Disabled work to influence decision makers to ensure equal rights for disabled youth and improve accessability in the society, especially schools, higher education and workplaces.
Norwegian Young Disableds purpose is to promote cooperation between disabled youth's organisations. By cooperating we can achive goals which are difficult to achieve alone. The purpose of cooperation is not only to further group interests, but also give disabled people's organisations power to influence the developement of the society.
