Institute Of Social Economy Studies (INMEKO)

INMEKO is an association of four non-profit organizations founded in 2007 in Athens and its main purposes are the conduct of research and the development of studies and action plans for the development of the social economy in Greece. INMEKO's studies are not limited to co-funded and European projects but extend to strategic issues for the development of social entrepreneurship and to an institutional organization and networking and training of staff in the field of civil society.

Description

INMEKO provide communication services and training programs for civil society and local authorities and has an executive team of experts and an advisory group providing services in the areas of:
Social economy and, in particular, leveraging funds in cooperation with local government
Green growth in cities
Creation of social development partnerships in the fields of health and cultural entrepreneurship
Promotion of socially supported agriculture
Creation of labor-technical cooperatives
Establishment of partnerships for transnational cooperation programs
Promotion of networking and joint ventures of NGOs for international programs and
Development of business plans to support small and medium-sized enterprises
Organization of human resources development seminars.
INMEKO has a network of 30 experts in the field of social and solidarity economy and its funding is mainly provided by public funds and particularly through its participation in European and co-funded programs, as well as by its own resources and the contribution of its members.
Institute of Social Economy Studies has:
an executive team with extensive experience in management, implementation, and monitoring of co-financed projects whereas partnerships and activities supervision,
experience in European co-funded projects regarding employment and entrepreneurship (ESF) as well as in projects and studies implemented with private funds
has already implemented transnational projects regarding social economy and social enterprises relative to the proposed project

European Social Fund (ESF). Project: Local Plan for the Employment and Entrepreneurship in the Region of Western Greece, in collaboration with Belorta cooperative (BEL) as an expert partner (2014-2015).
