Municipality of Vratsa

Vratsa (Bulgarian: Враца) is a city in northwestern Bulgaria, at the foothills of the Balkan Mountains. It is the administrative center of the homonymous Vratsa Province. With its inhabitance of nearly 60 000 and territory 697 square kilometers it is the largest city in Northwester Bulgaria. It is a cultural, economic and social center.

Description

The Municipality of Vratsa has experience in preparation, organizing and management of infrastructure projects, as well as “soft” measure projects. The successfully implemented projects are more than 100, including Phare program, Dutch environment agency, Foundation for local government, Employment agency, International fund ‘Kozloduy’ ‘Beautiful Bulgaria’, Global economic forum, National program ‘Social assistant’, the operative programmes from program period 2007 – 2013, ‘Solidarity’ fund, Inter-service commission for restoration and support for the Council of ministers, Interreg IVC, Operative programmes for transnational cooperation ‘Southeastern Europe’ 2007 – 2013, Intelligent energy Europe, Norwegian financial mechanism, Norwegian programme, European commission, ect.
The projects are aimed towards solving problems in the technical infrastructure of the municipality, healthcare and education, social services, environmental protection, spatial planning, transport, modernizing and upgrading public municipal property, tourism, as well as promoting the territory in order to attract investment.

We are looking for partners with experience in organizing and managing projects, related to the topic of the call, as well as experience and capacity in implementing the aims of the project proposal.
