Friends of Disabled Society (TPN) is one of the largest non-governmental organizations in Lodzkie region, which mission is to help people with mental health problems, mostly schizophrenia, in social and professional inclusion.
Friends of Disabled Society (TPN) is one of the largest non-governmental organizations in Lodzkie region, which mission is to help people with mental health problems, mostly schizophrenia, in social and professional inclusion. The main goal of the association is to provide various forms of community care and rehabilitation to prevent social exclusion of people suffering from mental illness. It runs a community self-help centre, health care centre, sheltered housing in 3 locations, hostel fir disabled with mental illness, 2 vocational rehabilitation facilities and care home. TPN is also very active in field of social and vocational reintegration of people from vulnerable groups (e.g. disabled, long term unemployed, with mental health problems) trough implementing various projects co-financed by the European Union under the European Social Fund and from other national and international funds.
For the past years Friends of Disabled Society (TPN) implemented projects which included professional activation or vocational rehabilitation of people socially excluded or at risk of social exclusion. In projects implemented in last 3 years the most important was job coaching and on job training of beneficiaries. Within our organization we employ experienced staff (job trainers, psychologists, career advisers) which focus on providing a high quality training and coaching for people with mental health problems. Our projects goal is to enable people with mental disability and long-term unemployed to reenter the labour market

-organising art-therapy, hippotherapy, pottery workshops, outdoor activities for our target group
