Norsensus Mediaforum is a non-profit media association located in Norway to enhance media literacy in the society with primary focus on the empowerment of young people and part of the population with additional needs for guidance and competence in this area. We develop stimulating events and educational programs in noth Norway and abroad in partnerships with universities, media outlets and local/international organizations based on our key values and goals.
Our vision is a society where all people and communities have equal access to utilize any and all media tools to ensure equal democratic participation and self-expression within a diverse media landscape.
We seek partners who are involved in active citizenship, media literacy, journalism training, social media and internet issues with prefarably special focus on socially and economically disadvantaged communities including young people, immigrants and women.
Through our local and international activities, we have developed a wide scope of expertise in the field of media literacy, journalism training, ICT skills training, intercultural communication, advocacy training, Internet safety, Social media, counseling and mentoring.
