We are a non-governmental, non-profit, privately owned research institute, focusing on (digital) political participation, transparency and monitoring.
DJND emerged from the 2012 protest movements as a web platform, set to rethink social consensus, politically empower people, and engage them in debate on common matters. Debate is structured around 6 rights, which represent content guidelines for all our projects: The right to good life and solidarity, The right to commons, The right to proper political authority, The right to/of nature, The right to a human-friendly economy, The right to inclusion. Originally organized as an informal voluntary team, we founded an entirely independent institute in Sept. 2013. We develop more direct methods of digital political participation, seeing democracy as a continuous process (see projects: djnd.si).
