Romanian Association Against AIDS, ARAS, Iasi branch is a non governmental, non-profit, non-political and humanitarian organization whose mission is creating an environment for the development of non-discriminatory behavior and tolerance and also facilitating the access to information on HIV / AIDS and other sexually transmitted infections, in medical, psychological and social field for all categories of the population.
ARAS's main activities are:
Health educational services- Information, education and communication on HIV / AIDS and the promotion of healthy behaviors, especially among young population
Integrated services for prevention of HIV and other sexually transmitted infections among vulnerable groups (homeless people,rroma communities, sex workers, drug consumers)
Pre and post test counseling and HIV testing
Center for Socio-professional integration and counseling
Social inclusion for people with fewer opportunities
Organisations with expertise in the field of human rights, social inclusion, work with vulnerable groups, volunteering, anti-discrimination, human rights, equal opportunities, health.
We have over 18 years of experience in working on improving the quality of life of people affected by HIV/AIDS, preventing HIV infection and other sexual transmitted diseases among different categories of population, fighting discrimination and promoting human rights and tolerance, volunteer involvement and offering educational and social services in the community.
