Intercultural INSTITUTE OF SOLIDARITY has been founded in 2010. We strongly support activities combating unemployment as well as promoting cooperatives in the field of social and solidarity economy. Furthermore, we collect and distribute clothing and food and provide medical and psychological support to vulnerable population groups.
In the same time we organize numerous seminars and workshops to mitigate social exclusion, gender equality, racism and xenophobia, working closely with other similar NGO organizations in Greece, having developed an extensive network and maintaining close partnership.
We are seeking now â€“ how and scientific assistance in order to enrich the educational material on social, religious and cultural characteristics of Islam. The material will be used in seminars, workshops, day conferences and targeted communication activities in the town of Perama â€“ Piraeus â€“ Greece.
In the context of mentioned project, our Institute has deep and detailed knowledge of necessities and peculiarities of local and migrant residents in the target area of Perama, based on public opinion surveys and social studies carried out by our specialized scientific staff. Further we maintain long and successful partnership with local authorities and the city council as well as full acceptance of the local society. Please note that we also have extensive expertise in organizing seminars, workshops etc.
