IOGT is a community of non-governmental organisations. The aim of IOGT is the liberation of peoples of the world leading to a richer, freer and more rewarding life. As a means of attaining this aim, IOGT promotes a lifestyle free of alcohol and other drugs.
IOGT is a politically independent and heart driven organization working solely from evidence based facts. The work expands from community action for children and youth to creating, facilitating and developing efficient alcohol policies. IOGT is open to everyone who wishes to see an open a democratic world free from alcohol and other drugs. Read more about our philosophy here.
As member of networks such as IOGT international, GAPA, Eurocare, ECOSOC, VNGOC and ICAA, IOGT works together with other NGOs to improve the situation of people all over the world.
Our members are from age 6 and older. Membership is open to everyone who shares the principles described in our Constitution.
We offer material that adresses issues relating to alcohol and other drugs on topics ranging from HIV and poverty to gender and violence.
