Comparative Research Program on Poverty

CROP (Comparative Research Programme on Poverty) is an international research programme under the International Social Science Council (ISSC).


Since the start in 1992 the CROP Secretariat has been located at the University of Bergen, Norway.

CROP is a response from the academic community to the problem of poverty. The major aim of CROP is to produce sound and reliable research based on knowledge that can serve as a basis for poverty reduction.
